I really like Villetta and Rolo together ●^◡^●~ I got the impression she sympathized with him in the anime, since she was curious to know why he’d betray the Cult, plus she even tried to defend him about Victor’s death (yeah, you must like Rolo a lot to do that xD). They do after all share having changed sides to stay with the person they loved… Clearly, she named her child Rolo, the child inherited Ohgi’s hair, and that’s where Rololo comes from.

Kyou’s teammates were nicer this week, now I like them since I find it amusing that they don’t mind being bossed around by a 14-or-so year old brat (I haven’t seen any official data, but I’d say Kyou is younger than Aichi but older than Kamui, so somewhere there. EDIT: Apparently, he is second-year of junior high in the manga, which means between 13-14). Kyou isn’t switching sides yet? Though it doesn’t look like he’s planning to give up either. Let’s see what those new random effeminate men -the show totally didn’t have enough already!- LEAD BY DAICHUU and their mafia want, because they seem not to tolerate the ugly (Team Ikemen 2?), so maybe they’ll make Kyou go back to his old outfit ^o^ you do that, thank you Brilliant Stars! (Thank you Kiriya, your voice is beautiful!) For some reason, the first thing I thought upon seeing their looks was they’re sort of what you’d get if you disassembled Hisoka into four people.

Going back to the beginning of the episode, the fight dragged on a bit. I knew Aichi would Final Turn, so it was clear that there’d be more turns after last week’s last scene. Kyou kept laughing and smiling like a desperate psychopath so it was like watching Ichijou all over again, which I orz’d at, since I don’t like Ichijou and I do like Kyou apparently hope for Kyou to do something I like someday.

And yeah… The first thing Aichi does upon winning is reporting to Kai, his voice and his face all kyunkyun again. These moments are so, ahh, Rolo… ´ρ`

“Then fight me…” It’s not like Aichi’s idea of fighting Kai didn’t sound metaphorical already (:rolleyes:) but in this specific episode… Please. That naughty begging voice! I though only Aile resorted to those improper tricks! Nghowaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa-!!!!

Since Kai has left and Aichi is probably joining AL4 next week or so (watch Asaka making some comment that this kid’s much better than the one they had before), Quadrifoglio needs at least a third member and you know who it’s going to be? Once Rekka tells Morikawa about Kourin’s crush on Aichi, Morikawa will become the very best fighter in the world. Yes! And he’ll fight AL4 Aichi (who will wear some ridiculous Jaffar shoulder pads to match Ren’s) and beat him, but Kourin won’t fall for Morikawa anyway ’cause gaining someone’s love through winning a cardgame is stupid. Aichi and Ren, did you get that? Also, the whole thing about Suiko sensing something from Misaki was just her mistake and the plot point is dropped, just like that? Hmm… Perhaps there’ll be more to Misaki than we think in the future…

All the 恋愛- Sorry, RenAi on the preview. Either Aichi’s Blaster Blade transformed from Royal into Shadow Paladin (prolly meaning Ren’s Blaster Dark was a Blaster Blade once too) or Ren gave him the card and now he’s got two Blasters. More or less we’re little by little learning about Ren’s past, he seems to have been an Aichi corrupted by his unrequited love for Kai, but we haven’t been told anything about Ultra Rare! Why is Ren and Aichi’s meeting place the PSY shop yet again? Why are those girls recruiting people with psygeass and are they working for someone else? Why was Ninja Master M so important at the beginning of the series, is he going to be the final boss? Is he Ren in disguise after all.

You do realize random background characters and fighters and cards are going to be voiced by Daichuu now that he’s part of the cast ´V`♥

I’m glad those two gangstas Kyou’s hanging around with now aren’t his friends, just partners of convenience. Higher chances for him to heel face turn if he has no real ties with the group of the baddies. I’m too convinced he’s switching sides and perhaps he isn’t? He’d have to recover from all the craziness though, and by the way wasn’t he getting a saikunren!! They didn’t bother to retrain him, they just fired him, so cheap.

He’s still extremely arrogant to the point where we’re in need of some explanation as to why it is that he absolutely must be considered a good card fighter in order to keep his sanity. His constant deranged laughs must have killed Akenon’s throat. No matter how humiliated he might have felt -which as Asaka said, serves him more than right-, doesn’t he have a family or dunno, when does he go to school and so on? Someone should make him cry (I always demand this), maybe next ep when he loses again to THAT OTHER KID WHO TURNED MAD BECAUSE HE PLAYED A CARD GAME. Really, whoa, Aichi your voice. And your face. So cool everything, his lines, that keigo in the enticing tone just like Ren’s, he’s too good at evoking Ren. HOW HE SPINS THE PEGASUS KNIGHT. Where is Aichi’s soul now, those cards he carries around are more dangerous than Klug’s book.

Aichi timidly smiling to himself and becoming so genuinely happy over Kai paying attention to him. Even though so far I’d just assumed “okay, he’s into Kai, moving along…” that scene suddenly really conveyed to me that he truly yearns for that insipid guy *affectionate insult*, and I’ve felt so deeply touched because gues what, he was reminding me of Rolo ´A` since no other character makes me feel they are in love as intensely as Rolo-tan does, waaaawwwwwwl… Aichi is usually so quiet and lacking in self-esteem and still trying to overcome his having been a bullied kid, that it will take a while until he stops being the kind of person who, if told a joke, would smile because he appreciates the fact that they’re trying to make him laugh rather than because he’s had fun with the contents of the joke itself. That was a random example but I think it was pretty accurate if I do say so myself, hmm. And to watch someone as fragile as that gaining confidence in himself and feeling such pure joy is so moving, poor thing poor thing gwaaaahh ｡ﾟ(ﾟ´⌂｀ﾟ)ﾟ｡ hello is this Sunrise I just won the lottery and I want a World of C OVA with permanently happy Rolo *keeps dreaming*

Regardless, as always there’s no Vanguard episode with which I don’t laugh and this is no exception. The part where it seems Kamui’s successfully dodged Nagisa and SHE HAD A KEIKAKU TO JUMP BACK. And whatever she says I find it funny because of her voice acting, and same goes to Morikawa, seriously. Everything Morikawa does. Every single thing. He shouts “KOURIN-CHAN! EN·CO·RE!” and I want to laugh already, why?! And the camera actually stops to focus on Miwa and Izaki’s faces when the former goes “ever thought “I don’t want to be friends anymore”?” lol Miwa. I can’t list all the hilarious things, there’s too much.  Gouki’s still thinking that Aichi wants Kamui for himself after so many episodes (good writing ;w;), and that dude who loses and goes “Utsukushiku… nai!” what kind of reaction is that x’D Also THE RETURN OF MC MIYA AND DOCTOR O!! “Doki doki desu ka?! >8D” “Doki doki desuuuuuu” their voices, the intonation, I don’t even!! And then they’re fighting against Team Mai Valentine next week, and after that comes the revenge of the creepy kid who talks to himself out loud like he’s chanting a mantra ర_ర Kyou moving his mouth (evil grin) and saying nothing was spooky there at the end, and I don’t fancy his hobo looks, get your necktie back. I wonder who his partners are? Because he needs a team, I suppose… And I bet he’ll fight Aichi like in the manga, and do the opposite of winning, and he’ll freak out because Aichi has PSY-Geass like Ren, which he was scared of. Which equals more trembling Kyou, yes! But with different clothes, please, you can ruin a pretty scene by wearing ugly clothes. Rolo was genre savvy about this and put on his school uniform before rescuing Lelouch even though he obviously wouldn’t need to go to school any time soon, even under the circumstances that he had survived…

EDIT2: THE MOCK TURTLE?! No Rolo, you are not becoming another animal again… xD a melancholic character whose sense of identity has become shattered, certainly fitting~ Default-faced!Rolo, can’t say if he’s blushing because he looks ridiculous or because he’s showing so much skin or both (what child-like limbs those are ＾ε＾♬). As expected they didn’t choose him as the secret kyun-chara, but unexpectedly, they chose Marianne o_o… is that even profitable?

The GK2 book with the official heights and spoilers and everything is out now and I managed to locate some blog mentioning the numbers I care about. Spoilers if you consider knowing how tall (or should I say SHORT) some characters are is spoilery.

Yumihiko is 173 cms. Lololol MOROHEIYA’S HEIGHT. I knew it they’re twins they did it on purpose.

And Ban-chan(♥) is a… hundred and eighty-two MISERABLE cms?!! ⊙▂⊙ They are only 9 cms apart? (so I bet if you add the ahoge’s height they’re almost the same, whatever!) WHAT KIND OF SHORTNESS IS THAT, THE SPRITES LOOKED LIKE HE WAS 2 METERS TALL. I am honestly shocked and appalled. Only 5cms taller than Manfred, I am disappoint… So Gant wins after all.

Okay, at least I’m fine with Yumihiko. 173 is acceptable I guess since I already expected him to be at least 175ish after that Nintendo Dream cover, and unlike his daddy, I’d rather bakamusuko were shorter because that’s what his personality inspires! STOP FEEDING HIM SO HE DOESN’T GROW UP ANYMORE! Anyway he’s sliiiightly shorter than Ribbons, but Ban-chan is MUCH shorter than Doro-sama wh… why’d I compare them to those two, hm.

Suddenly I’m surprised at how tiny Rolo’s 170’5 sounds considering I’ve never regarded him as being particularly petite (perhaps because there’s Rivalz around). Aww Rolo small little Rolo uguuu Niisan could take you inside that pink box where he keeps his lens ^q^

Ep32: No on-screen Kyou but they once again remind us that he’s the only Foo fighter who’s lost and that he’s getting some “retraining” (to play a card game, guys. Why must the fans assume that that term means something else… okay I grinned when I heard that too)
Ep33: The main characters remember that KYOU LOST AND HE’S BEEN EXPELLED (sorta)
Ep34: HEY LET’S REMEMBER WHEN THAT LOSER LOST HAVE THE SAME FLASHBACK. AGAIN!!!!

Very well then, HOW·MANY·TIMES are you going to remind us that Kyou lost ⊙a⊙??!! I can foresee that kid pulling a Heel Face Turn soon enough, otherwise there’s no need to make the fact that HE LOST so important. Besides, he’s the only AL4 member who doesn’t seem to fit in his team. They also had the main characters specifically noticing that Kyou wasn’t there during the finals, as if the writers wanted to make sure that the audience doesn’t forget about the character either (and to show that the good guys seem to care enough for him to possibly let him join them in the future? =P). How old is he anyway, he’s really short. I like his necktie.

I’m addicted to this series. The entire cast is so lovable you can’t help but grow fond of everyone, and they somehow make me laugh with every episode every week ^◡^. Nobody should be deceived by the extremely cliché/commercial-looking 1st opening sequence, because the contents are surprisingly unpredictable and interesting! I hope they release a Vanguard videogame so that I can actually properly learn the rules ^o^ perhaps.

On a different topic (and at this juncture), here I was considering the Seven Generals arc lamentable, AND XROS WARS CONTINUES FOR YET ANOTHER SEASON?! And Taiki is enrolled again  xD (he’s going to beat Ryo in number of reappearances) they should give him a more personal reason to fight as hard as he does, because he is too flawless and flat being such an ideal nakama-hero, repeatedly risking his life as if it were such an easy thing to do… MORE IMPORTANTLY DAMEMON WILL BE BACK (how do I resuscitate Blast-chan and Lilith-tan too?!). As for the new characters, I couldn’t help but notice that Ren’s hair-skin-clothes color combination is similar to Henry’s, while Tagiru’s (the gijinka of a chicken or something) is close to Takato’s. Airu is a blue-eyed-blonde who wears a t-shirt with blue and white stripes behind a pink dress (Zoe’s was purple but almost there!). And interesting choice of hairstyle and earrings for a character with the name of a guy, Ryouma o.o

I hope next season gets better (though I won’t grow tired to repeat that I love the OST; they don’t need to update that!) and there’s some decent character development. Tagiru’s the only kid with rounded eyes, I bet his personality is going to be as Dumb-is-Good as Yuma Tsukumo’s ・ω・ (if he’s only half as cute as Yuma it’s more than enough!)
